Surface-mount technology (SMT) is a method for producing electronic circuits in which the components are mounted or placed directly onto the surface of printed circuit boards.

 

 

In the design stage and considering we solder manually most of SMD components, is very important to select the correct footprint. The soldering iron tip must simultaneously heat the copper in the PCB and the component contact
